METRICS AND MANAGEMENT

OVERVIEW

The Playground provides a few metrics and management tools to help you monitor and control your conversations.

READ THE METRICS

Once a panel has answered, a row of chips appears beneath its conversation:

Chip	Meaning
`TTFT`	Time to first token: how long the latest response took to start streaming
`Latency`	How long the latest response took to finish generating
`In`	Input tokens sent to the model so far this session, prompts and history together
`Out`	Output tokens the model has generated so far this session

Timings describe the most recent turn only. Token counts accumulate across the whole session, so they climb as a conversation grows.

These numbers come from a single interactive request, so treat them as a rough feel for responsiveness rather than a benchmark. Both are sensitive to a cold deployment, prompt length, and current load.

MANAGE THE CONVERSATIONS

Control	Effect
`Clear Chat`	Empties every conversation and leaves the panels open
`Close All`	Closes every panel and starts over
`Retry`	Appears on a panel whose turn failed. Re-runs that panel’s last message, leaving the other panels untouched
The `x` in a panel header	Closes that one panel and discards its conversation

The models and deployments you have open are held in the page URL, so refreshing the page restores the same set of panels. A link link sent to a teammate will behave the same way, and will allow you to share a set of models to compare. The URL does not track state about current conversations or settings. Conversations, system prompts, and sampling parameters are not saved and do not travel with the link.
